^^ is that really true? I never heard about having to replace my oil pan if I needed to run EL headers? 04cali, did you have to replace yours when you got your Tomei's installed?

I've heard that was true for the earlier WRXs for some headers. I just tool a look at the headers I have, for example, and the piping has completely different bends from the pictures above. For example, mine doesn't route through the oil pan area but around it. Check the manufacturers. Some may be built with the WRX in consideration.

I hear that Tomei EL is exactly the MadDad EL.

Lets compare photos:

Tomei:$900 (with no discounts)

Maddad:$639.95 (with no forum discount)

I just think that you would get better support from Maddad, as they are on the forums & supplied from the states. More affordable too. They offer coating inside & out as well.

I stand corrected.

The MadDads are backed, alot of people like them and the guy's customer service seems like its on point.

I think it's also the same as the GT spec and now looks like Titek as well
maybe it's more expensive since you get the wrap?

wrap if not coated.

you want to keep the heat inside the exhaust manifold. something about keeping that stored energy until it gets released via the turbo
