THREAD RESSURECTION!!!!
Okay, before you guys tell me to go do some research, I've actually been looking all day, and despite what a majority of you guys said, I am going to stick with unequal length headers because I want to retain the boxer rumble even though I know it wont be as loud and deep. Anyways...my brother in law owns a car company and Ive been getting major discounts on car parts from him. He can give me a titek unequal length header/up pipe combo for about $450, which is just about the cheapest of all the headers that I can find.
just wondering, has anybody had any experience with titek headers? are they prone to cracking or uneven/difficult installation & fitment issues?
thanks! I'll give anyone a gummyworm at bamx! =]

Also, will the MadDad V2 Header and Uppipe, will fit on a 2005 WRX?
I know the MadDad V2 Header is an unequal length header, which is what I want, but since it's in the 2004-2007 STI category on their website and I know some parts on an sti are interchangable between a wrx, will it still fit a 2005 wrx?

Here is another Titek EL for $450 shipped.
If you are going to spend the money on a header, do it right. Get a good quality EL header/uppipe combo -- that would be Tomei or MadDad. They are basically identical (made in the same place) but the MadDad's primaries are a tad smaller = potentially quicker spool but a bit less total power. I know people say "you'll loose the rumble" but who cares, and EL actually makes the car sound pretty nice.
For an EL, add the cost of an STi oil pan, I don't think your car has one. My oilpan is already same as the STi, but I needed the STi oil cooler and pickup tube which you may already have, if not add those to the list too. People tend to forget the cost of these things on WRXs.

MadDad Equal Length Header/Uppipe is en route...well just ordered!
...cost 2x as much as I could've gotten the titek for, so i hope i wont be disappointed.
Imma stop by the dealership tomorrow to see if they have the 2.5 L oil pan in stock, which I'm sure they do kuz its subaru...and hopefully my friend will be able to hook me up with a discount.
