Again, no recluses on this side of the country or north of us. Not doubting your friends death, which is very horrible, but they are not native in this part of the country. Deaths from the Brown Recluse are very rare, and are not common. Loss of limbs and deterioration of flesh is the most common result of a bite.

Doesn't matter if they are native the facts are they are out there and to be aware. I could go into how she died but that is morbid as she suffered a ton and a very painful death.

Holy facking ****. If I saw one of these ****ers in my house, it's getting tented the next day. The biggest spider I've seen at my house was a female garden spider.
Although I do see garter snakes from time to time sun bathing lol

It got me to, well at least blow out all the leaf debris and clear the corners of spiders. Found some left over roof mouse droppings and foil bits from this Summer.

Immediately went and got the face mask and soapy water bottle. THese mice were the ones that had hitched a ride from Huntington and Tahoe.

No Hanta-Virus not for this guy. Caught two black widows, used them as an opportunity to educate my daughter and then fed 'em to the cat.
