Oh it happened. It's just the beginning dude. Once you start going through that garage you are sure to stir up more of them.

My friend got bit by a spider on his foot, his foot turned into shreks foot. Swelled up like 5 times normal size.

Yeah they are in our area, but they are generally in the woodland area's like Santa Cruz mountains. They like to hide in the dark. F' THAT!

So you got bit by a blackwidow? Did you go to the ER right away? I thought that was a sure death-bite. (?)

They are not native here, there are a few that look very similar, but none here.

UCR Spiders Site: Myth of the Brown Recluse

Quote from the link above:

"The next "spider" most familiar to Californians-the brown recluse-is a myth. There are no populations of brown recluse spiders living in California. In case, this upsets your applecart, I repeat, there are no populations of brown recluse spiders living in California. The common name "brown recluse spider" refers to one species of spider, Loxosceles reclusa, which lives in the central Midwest: Nebraska south to Texas and eastward to southernmost Ohio and north-central Georgia (see map). Only a handful of specimens (less than 10) have ever been collected in California and usually there is some connection between the spider and a recent move or shipment from the Midwest."
