Don't F with Spiders....

I still don't know 100% what it was but my wife and the doctor she works for thinks it was a widow bite. I've been bit and hospitalized from one before so I'm sure that helped me this time around. Was still rocking a 103 temp for a couple days straight and then it jumped when I started going crazy.
I'd close my eyes and instantly be building a bridge. My brain would tell me... finish this bridge and you can sleep. Then I'd open my eyes and be in bed sweating like a MF'r. I thought it was close... then open. But my wife said I was snoring then I'd wake up and mumble something then pass out again. Was like that for a couple hours. I finally got up and decided resident evil was a good movie to watch.

CPCS: Spider Bites
Black widow bites arent too bad unless you're allergic ofcourse. No ones died in the US in over 10 years.

Last spring I found a scorpion walking across my living room. The dog was after it because she thought it was a spider...good thing I saw it.
We have these up north too. Harmless, but freaked me out the first time I found one.

The worst I've had to deal with have been Wolf Spiders. We had a small infestation in our crawl space. I think due to having a population of silverfish. I was killing 2 to 4 a night and some were the size of a quarter. 2 I killed I swear were the size of a 50 cent piece. The final straw was when one crawled on my wife's face while she was trying to sleep. Called an exterminator, had to have them come out to the house 3 times in one month to get caught up on the sheer number of them. Finally I went through and foamed close every hole and crack I could find that led into the crawl space/attic.

Damn, glad you're better, black widow bites are no joke. Both my brother and I were bite when we were kids. (Growing up in the valley, our garage was full of em.) We were both hospitalized too for it. Crazy fevers and swelling is all I remember.

Sssccchhhhaaaayyy Heelllo to Maah Leetttlllee Freennd?
OrbWeaver, get them in our front yard all the time, this one's as big as my index finger nail, the webs are usually across the front yard trees, around 1-2' wide.
Oh, and black widows, yep, might go out and catch one just to watch Hide go ballistic and smoosh it into oblivion.

I see these all the time, there was one between two hedges we walk threw near work and the guy in front of me nearly walked into it. When he saw it he nearly jumped out of his own skin and had a scream to match! Haha.
