Put up a preamp and I'm glad I did!

Everything is super crisp and it wasn't hard to install.

I just added a synology NAS to the mix over the weekend. Having a bit of trouble getting my switch to play nice with it's link aggregation (I have another LCAP device that works fine) but I am so far impressed with the synology's Plex-like transcoding features... Even with it's dinky little ARM7 processor it was easily transcoding and streaming to three devices at once.

I've been on OTA for about 3 years now. The hardest thing was giving up F1 and MotoGP. My daughter had to give up FoodNetwork. Now she watches 22.2-CreaTV for all her cooking shows. For me, I haven't found anything for MotoGP, but I watch all the F1 races on 66.1 when they aren't shown on NBC (11.1). Now, not only do I not have to spend $75 a month to watch TV, but I get to watch F1 for free and learn Spanish at the same time.

None of this is remotely familiar to me. Can you explain it as though I was an eight year old, lol?

NAS = Network Attach Storage. A hard drive that plugs into the network and can be accessed by anyone on the LAN (or remotely with appropriate configuration).

Link Aggregation = using two ethernet jacks as one. traffic is load balanced between the two giving almost double the throughput.

PLEX = plex media server software https://plex.tv

transcode = convert source to another format in real time.

ARM = a family of reduced instruction set (RISC) processors.

In conclusion: I bought a big harddrive for my house. It takes videos in one form and converts them to whatever form I want/need in real time despite having a tiny processor.
