Gauging intrest for "Hard Cord" dirt drive/rally
Hey every single dirt loving maniac out there. Pete (psoper) and myself are putting on an off-road rally. We've done many over the past years (both on and off road) and we would like to have some i-clubber's along.
It's called Redwood Rendezvous IV.
Here's the link to the official thread.
https://www.i-club.com/forums/meetings-events-donuts-91/when-rallying-outlawed-only-outlaws-will-rally-redwood-rendezvous-iv-145802/
We've done this every year around the same time.
This is a great time to meet people and spend some quality time together. The group camps out in the woods after a day of kick a$$ driving and stays awake late into the night / early morning drinking, eating and telling stories. Then finish the rally off with a group drive sunday before returning home.
Over the years i have made some very good friends doing this. (huck & sam, max, tim, kevin, jane, greg & silke etc...)
I use the term "hard core" not so much on the speeds you'll be driving, but more for the miles you'll be driving in the dirt. somewhere around 200.
Date's:
October, 28th &29th 2006
if you just have questions you can post here or in the Meet's Forum.

Oh, entries will be limited so please don't waste time.
Max, thanks for the kind words. maybe if Kevin makes this one again you can run co-driver

well, today (saturday sept 23rd) pete and i are going to the area to finalize all mileage points and possibly mark our chosen check points. My car got a blow out on the last trip up there and i haven't replaced my dirt tires with a set of new ones yet. so i'll be riding along in pete's car.
we are also going to be checking out things, last time we were up there one of the roads looked closed because all the signs we saw stating that it was closed.
i'll up date you all tomorrow. i believe we'll be driving for another 13 hour day.

here is a list of solme things you'll need.
1.) full size spare tire (or two)
2.) co-driver (not needed so much, but you'll most likely get lost and have no chance of winning rally)
3.) camping gear (we will be camping out if weather is good. bring tent and sleeping bag and or lots of blankets. or be prepared to sleep in your car)
4.) water!!!! lots of water or other drinkables.
5.) snacks. (jerky, crakers, cookies etc... thinks to get you by till you can get something to eat. which if you break down could be ALONG TIME)
6.) walkie-talkie radio(s)
7.) flashlight, matches/lighter
8.) roll of toilet paper (because you never know...)
9.) co-driver supplies (pen, highlighter, clip board,)
10.) a good attitude and willingness to meet people
there is probably others which i'll add later.

Hey folks,
If you're being held up by the full-sized spare on the supplies list above, I've got 2 full-sized spares that I can rent/sell to folks who need them.
They're the stock '02 16" wheel and RE92s (40% worn out).
Reason: I bought a set of 4 for full-sized spares, but only really need two.

I'm not quite sure on the format, but unless it's a timed rally (shortest time wins), it should hold up to the roads they have planned, and it would be funny to hear that your Justy beat out a bunch of high HP cars.
