contemplating transferring to USF...any input?
In general, unless you're planning on starting your own business or finding a special gig (since places like USC or USF have a greater concentration of students who are just kinda going to college for the hell of it, and already have opportunies lined up), business majors are the majors most dependent on what college they went to, being the difference between $40k and $140k after graduation.
Once you graduate and/or start looking for a job you'll find that the better the school you went to, the fewer employers care about what you studied or what your GPA was. It's getting your foot in the door that's 80% of the work, and your interview the other 20%. In the sense, USF being a private school may have advantages over other local public schools if you feel (in your good judgement) that it offers facilities and career search/alumni infrastructure that are superior to other choices.
Though I've had friends who went to USF and I never got the point - that school costs as much as Harvard tuition wise. It's not a bad school obviously, but a world class local school like SJSU - 10 times cheaper.

If you're ever thinking of working anywhere in the Pacific Rim, being a business major at USF is a real boon since you can network easily and make friends from all over the region. Remember, lots of overseas Asian kids there are the sons and daughters of executives or tycoons back in their home countries
Also, in terms of internships and career placement, the staff and faculty really try their best to help place you somewhere nice, or, at the very least, decent haha.
One last thing I can say is that the general education program at USF is pretty good too. It makes you more a "complete person". Even if it's not directly related to helping you find a job post-bachelor's, you'll appreciate all that you learn in your GE courses because it will keep you from looking like a complete Neanderthal at cocktail parties haha.
