My wife doesn't mind the ohlins-FP's on most roads. 9, bear creek, old san jose/santa cruz and the BA highways.

The Koni/GC is setup is the only coil over with height adjustment, that can be MADE comfortable (no one needs to run crazy spring rates on the street) AND be had for right around $1000 if you have donor struts.

250lb-350lb linear springs are not going to be uncomfortable. If you really want it to be comfortable, just get about 200lb springs.

That setup, for performance+comfort/$, cannot be beat.

If you order btw, get 6" or 7" free length springs. Any taller and you won't have much adjustment.

I run 400lb front and 550lb rear, and I do, from time to time drive around on the street. Most people look at my car from the outside and know I'm running stiff, but they can't believe the well it rides when they drive it or ride along. This is simply a testament to the Koni's Dampning and the linear rates, it's amazing.

Also, progressive springs always have variable rate at any point, and thus, are usually just too mushy, and never stop bouncing around.
