You guys seriously don't believe my engine is blown up?
Is this NASIOC?
I have close real life friends who post here and know that what I post is the truth... I do rant a lot, I know this and i-club is my outlet typically... So if you don't like it don't read it.

I do want an EVO really badly, but they still cost $35k and right now it's a tad difficult for me to justify the $15k extra (after selling my STi). If I could straight swap for an EVO I'd do it in a second, but as much as I love that car I also love my STi... I never said I didn't like my STi, I love it... But I think I'm ready for something a little different but still in the same realm (turbo, AWD, small) and since I've loved EVO's since I first started liking cars it seemed like a good idea. Then I did the math and the $15k difference didn't sound so appealing so I decided to stick with the car for now until my financial situation is a bit better (We just spent a lot of a trip to Europe for a month... A long overdue honeymoon actually. Her idea, I'm all for it and that's one of the reasons I decided to postpone the purchase of the EVO.)
I still plan on getting an EVO, just not right this second... In a couple years I'll be driving an EVO, or so is the plan. There are a lot of variables and you guys don't know about a lot of them so I can see how it would be confusing. I apologize for not being SUPER clear.

When your AP was stolen, you already had a tune loaded on the ECU which stayed on your ECU. It doesn't magically disappear because the AP is missing from the glove compartment. Considering how many times you mentioned your tune and how much you liked it, I think it's very silly for you to be trying to hide the fact that you had it.
FYI, I'm in no way saying your tune caused the engine damage directly, but trying to cover it up like this makes you seem very dishonest.
Good luck with whichever route you choose.
Thanks

Also, yes I'm aware that the ECU needs to be reflashed back to stock and that it won't just disappear when my AP was stolen,
Jesus Ed, give me a little credit!
I wasn't denying the fact that I have a tune, I was just saying I didn't have any mechanical mods done to the car what so ever. Stock everything. The reason it was tuned was because the car ran like crap (as does every stock 07) when it was on the stock map and the tune I had changed a lot in terms of the way the powerband felt, no more det, and felt the way it should have from the factory.

So let me clear this up a little tiny bit... I haven't added any mechanical modifications to the car (drivetrain) and have done everything to extend the life of my engine by using the best products for maint and doing the maint scheduled exactly when due. I got my 50k mile tune up done at 40k for example. Just sucks that something like this has to happen on such a young engine with so little done to it. I even ran the stock air filter, lol.

Lowend is a good friend of mine in real life and I was being sarcastic while talking to him, did you not see the "
" face next to the comment? Why else would I wink at someone? Not to hit on him, that's for sure.
It's hard to detect sarcasm online which is why I use emoticons. Also on the second comment there's a big fat "JK" next to the comment of being stock. In case you didn't know, "JK" means JUST KIDDING.
Here's my advice to you: do NOT take the internet so seriously... It makes it so much better if you imagine everyone being really kicked back and stoned so everything they say is in a friendly tone. So when you read my posts, just imagine them coming from someone who jokes and laughs about everything and is really friggin sarcastic. I can see why you're confused though, it's hard to detect sarcasm when you read things too seriously.
Second piece of advice is: Chill out and remember we're all a big subie family.

Good memory man! (My friend's G37 has such nice seats... Are the aggressive sport seats stock or are they an option? Anyone know?)
Anyone have any links that show the EJ25 engine diagram with all the parts and stuff? There's gotta be something out there that's detailed and contains detailed pics of the motor and all it's parts.)

Yeah, that's a great example of "lost in translation" via the web. It happens, I guess the best way to remedy it is to go to more meets and meet more people and get to know them so you can read their posts with their personality behind it, ya know?
