Wow he has extra 100 post, yes I would call him a tool to his face! Why would you say any of these 3 things? Not one would cause the motor to go bad sorry! I don't post some bull **** info that is false, that's another great idea....... I'm no expert, can someone answer Stan and we can really clear up who the tool is? I'm not here to start any crap, just calling it how I see it.......

Yes, same thing happened to my friend. He did flash his car with a Stage 1 tune at some point. I've watched that car overheat on the track myself, just watching the temperature gauge.

If only the world was perfect like that. However, this would probably only work for someone who would turn your car into a track car, and I don't think they'd pay 17 for a track car that still needs a motor.

Just because the parts/labor costs 4k doesn't mean that's what you deduct from the price. Time is worth a lot and for most people who are going to be buying a car, they want the car running and not have the headache of finding a shop to get the motor, getting it there, and waiting for it to be installed. I'd say with a blown motor, you're looking closer to 14-15k.

Dude, say something useful or stfu. Only thing you've contributed is that Subaru only replaces pistons and were corrected a few posts later by someone with first-hand experience who knows otherwise.

I'm done talking to you, troll.

Well, then I wouldn't sell it with a blown engine because I could pay $4k and get a lot more for it, especially with a new motor.

LOL, sounds like your really like yourself Brucelee. You people get mad because I point out some dumb *** idea why your motor would blow. We all know about 07's let alone Subaru's great ringland failure's. Your just another victim, get over it and fix it with some goodies and build yourself a beast. Sorry I don't post like yourself and make myself look dumb, good luck in your build, I hate to be the shop building your car.......

I remember Scammy's STi letting go at Willow Springs. We had to take the pig nose apart so the rad would get more airflow. Then the piston let go....

I was at the EQ track day at Thunderhill when a few engines popped. My friend's '07 probably cracked then, another member's '06 threw a rod, Matt's car spun a bearing. I rode in a GT35'ed '06 STi that had an oil temperature gauge, that was entertaining to watch.

Yah that was the reason why the car over heated....... You own what shop? I can tell yah I have been to few track days and have seen many STi's and never seen 06 or 07 overheat. I have seen 05 overheat, that must of been the front of the car that caused it! Come on and be real, or be nice and sell me what your smoking.
