I got my recall notice and had the airbag replacement performed almost 2 years ago now. I received my notice early on in the recall because the previous owner of my car lived in Houston aka humidddddd.

LOL wish I could've just taken it to Subaru - had to have Kuni Chevy to service it cuz Saab being dead = have to go to GM. ha.

I think this thread is more related to the newer cars since there is a NEW recall for 08+ Older models were previously already under recall.

They didn't follow protocol or did something else then cuz that's one of the easiest recalls to do. Its literally one fuse in the main fuse box. Nothing gets taken apart

Serramonte. My car is pretty modded and there were no issues.

Best part was getting the recall for my 04 3 years ago right when I sold it and then literally within a few weeks of picking up my 2011 I got the recall for it.

I called and emailed a local subaru dealership and they said they'll get back to me in the end of the day. I've been waiting over a week for a reply but I'm assuming that they have nothing to tell me about the recalls if I have no replies yet.

They should have taken your VIN and info and put you on a waitlist if they don't have your parts. Took 2 months for my turn to roll around.

I got on a wait list like 2 damned years ago....

Guess I should go back in and ask wtf is going on. I need to install a new steering wheel but I've been waiting for them to fix this passenger bag just so they don't question anything.

This thread relates to new buyers as well because at least as of august they are still building them this way in new cars and continuing to to produce their flawed product. Turds
