Bay area Takata airbag recall

Starting this thread because I'm getting tired of not being able to use my car to transport five passengers like I need it to.

If you have gotten the recall done AND your car is NEWER than the latest post, then please post: Your car's year/model/trim and month/year the work was done

I'm hoping that we can follow this thread and see the latest post as a measure of where in the queue the year of the car that is getting recalls done for the airbag recall.

The recall is out on the '17 models?

I got the recall letter on my 07' Impreza almost a year ago and all it said was they're just notifying me there is a recall. Another letter will come when they're ready to install the new airbag.

What he just said, but on my 06 STi, and our 11 Outback.

Start calling in, we got our letter notifying of the recall end of 2015 and then one earlier this year saying they had the parts. Wife called in and they said they needed to order the airbag and we got in a week later for install.

Got it done at livemore subie in june or july of this year. 04 Sti

See this seems like bull**** to me. Why does a 04 STI have a recall on the bag but not my 04 FXT that has the same ****ing part number!

You sure there isn't a recall on the FXT? The airbag recall is pretty much out for every model.

I got the same deal as verik07 but for my '09 Impreza 2.5i. Wrecked the car in August so I'm not too concerned about it any more. Bought an '11 WRX in September. Haven't received any recall letters for it. But I'm pretty sure there's at least an air pump recall for it.

Yea according to Subaru's website only the 09+ are affected.

Turns out they do have EXACTLY the same number. However it depends on what "zone" you are in if the recall affects you. Soon as I get up to WA, I will have to take it in for replacement. CA is zone 1 and not doing a recall.

Why is your argument changing?

I'm with Inna on this. She works with the parts on all these cars everyday. Which probably includes coordinating the distribution of all the replacement airbags for this recall. She probably has a pretty good idea if it's the same part or not.

I'm curious, has anyone gone to Subaru and demanded a rental while their car was unusable?

*edit* mistaken in the forester even being listed (or was removed from the list? not sure)
