I get back on May 5th. Unfortunately i wont be able to buy one right off the bat, I have a 2002 OBS that needs some fixing so i can sell it and buy something.

I might actually buy one thats pre-swapped and then do some work on it. I have my eye on one that needs some help that can be killer with a couple grand

I'd be happy to help on the OBS. I want to get a lot more Subaru-specific experience since school is general info, and/or SBC V8. No, I won't go get you Starbucks though, car work only.

Car Info: ?
FYI -- SpecB axles don't work. They are longer. This has been discussed more than enough on RS25 and Nasioc.

Ya I am familiar with the threads. Most of the posts are speculation, except for the input from PDX who has actually used them.

In all cases we have encountered this was simply a matter of pulling the outer boot back, and popping off the outer joint. The spline count and bar size has been the same on all so far, so it is literally a 15 minute job to switch over. On the Legacy there is no need to change the outer as it is the same between the Spec B and the normal model.

Note that they do not mention having used these on a GC, but I will be using WRX lateral links and A arms so the 1cm increased track per side is of no consequence as far as axle life. It is actually a plus as it gives me more wide wheels options with rubbing on the inner fenders I have no aversion toward fender pulling. Then again, a friend is running DPT 17x9 +42 (+42 I think) wrapped in 245x40 on his GC with no spacers and no rubbing, so...

If all else fails, and they do not fit, I will be able to resell them in a heartbeat.

So I have the spec b rear axles, but I need to swap the outer CV to get the proper splines for the WRX hub. Any idea how to get the outer CV apart? It does not come apart the same as the inner CV...

Once I do so, the length between the 2 axles will be very close
