According to this, a guest is only allowed to do that thing once, but it doesn't say anything about the sponsor. Someone enlighten us?

you (member) can sponser as many time as you like (one per event.. i think)... but a person can not be sponsered more than once

yup, the goal of teh guest program is to let people try autox out once, after that you need a membership, well at least for SFR SCCA
