That sounds like Ant927 from our board.

Of course it could also be ploney, but he's based in SoCal.

Got a question guys.

So I am looking to buy a helmet. For autox, it has to be SA2005?

But for track, it has to be snell right?

I believe you need SA2000 at least. Mine just says SNELL approved DOT on the back, and it's good with Solo through 2009 (I got it in 2005).

Autox helmets don't have to be as recent or good. you can use M rated helmets ( motocycle) i think, and if you don't plan on tracking, you should go with a M2005 or something since it's cheaper. Track you will need SA2005 , maybe SA2000 but I think you have to have a helmet atleast 10 years young, I dont remember.

Anyways, I'm going to try to make it to this event. My car will have some upgrades but won't be able to compete in the class. hopefully i'll get atleast top 5.

There's a big difference between ST classes and SM. STI can't run in STX because it's a 2.5l turbo, which brings me to my next question...

I never thought about it before, but how come Evos run in STU? They are 2.0l turbos and should be running STX.

Don't the Evo's have bigger turbo's than the STi's? Electronics? I dunno.

forgot about STU

Dont see why the evo cant run in STX however, perhaps its the stock wheels and tires that put it out of STX (8" wheel, 235 tire)
