Fighting a radar ticket like that does no good. Police are trained visual speed estimators . So what they guess your speed to be can also stand up in court. Radar or laser is the secondary for back up.

Tickets are not about keeping the public safe, but rather, another tax for the "unfortunate" ones that get caught.

Police are not here to protect you from crime; you have no right to police protection.

I have several friends & customers that are in law enforcement and without exception, all are beyond reproach.

I'll leave you to your opinion about cops with this:

Your house is ablaze, you call the fire dept.
When they show up, the first thing they do is cut a huge ****ing hole in your roof, and flood the contents of your house with a **** load of water.
Most of the time, the fire is put out, but your house is no better off than if it had simply burned to the ground.

When the fire fighters pack up to leave, you stand there, tears in your eyes, thanking them profusely for doing their job.

When you get stopped by a cop for doing 82mph, no seat belt, no cats, the first thing you think is, "****in' pig".

A lot of people say "a few ruin it for the rest" but imagine what happens when the cameras aren't rolling, and these people are never caught and I am 100% positive that it isn't just a "few" in the population. A few from a group of maybe a hundred is a lot is a bigger percentage.

Citizens get flicked off the table like maggots when an over zealous judge and/or LEO are not doing their job. We have to change the way they behave, maybe by getting hard evidence or continuously reporting/showing these absurd acts for our rights and equality. This happens all too often.

Besides, the "police" you should be fearing are the ones in light blue helmets.

I pretty much had this happen. The garage next to my house caught fire Thanksgiving night, we were staying out of town with family so the house was empty. The local FD had to ensure our house was empty and nobody was at risk of being harmed by the fire next door.

They broke down entry gates on both sides of my house, and eventually the security gate on front door then the front door itself, traipsed dirty boots all throughout the house searching, and then declared the house clear.

All that took "less than 5 minutes", whereas popping the side door on the garage would have taken their equipment 5 seconds to see no cars in the garage + no lights on in the house= nobody is home.

Of course we were mad about the thousands of dollars in damage they did, but they told us "That is SOP, take it up with your insurance company".
