I am about to trade a 2007 STI for a 2008 STI. The 2007 had 17 inch wheels and i have a practically new set of snow tires for this car. The 2008 has 18 inch wheels. If i buy 17 inch rims, can I use the 17 inch snow tires on the 2008 STI???? I'm trying to save a buck and not have to buy new tires.

 

why are you trading an 07 in for an 08? And, if I am reading this correctly, you want to save a buck or two by buying a new set of rims so you can use the tires that you have already purchased? Stick with the 07, their are saucyer.

if they can clear the brembos that come on the 08sti then yes you can use it. ask the dealer if you can test fit wheels before you buy the 08sti.

So, yes 17" 05-07 STI wheels should fit 08-09 STI.

 

Not all 17's have the same brake clearence. If you buy new 17" wheels for the 08, make sure to find out if they clear the 08 Brembos. www.wheeldude.com can probably help you there.
