Kumho Solus HP4
H-rated
I went in to get the Falken's but a guy at the store recommended the Kumho's for their better tread wear. My only other experience is with the stock tires on my 03 WRX and holy cow is there a difference. Its so much more dramatic than I expected. Shifting is smoother, turning is sharper, I can feel the road much better.
The only possible negative is the sidewall feels very weak on these tires and they seem to (I dont know the proper termonolgy) be ?fatter? or sorta bubble out more than the stock tires did. They are 205/55/R16. I wish I could offer a comparison to an expensive high performance tire but at $75 a tire these are hands down better than the stock tires ever were.

I know what your thinking, and maybe it is just my mind playing tricks on me but sometimes when I shifted on the old tires it would feel like my car was jumping into the new gear. Now it is smoother, no more jumping when I shift. I could be crazy but it could also be that the tires are absorbing some of the shock.
