TXS IC Pics
Hey everyone, one of customers volunteered some of his install pics. This is with the Turbo XS TMIC - It fit with a minor modification - he had to use a larger bolt b/c the mounts are different from stock. Otherwise, it fit nicely under the big intercooler. Note: Installation time is a little longer with aftermarket parts as this mod requires removing the IC to install the shield. Overall, a good fit. If anyone else wants to experiment with their aftermarket IC with our heatsheild , contact me and we'll see what we can do to accomodate you.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Hey i got your heatshield but its kind of different for the 04s.. i noticed theres this dipstick type thing that sticks out from the transmission that gets in the way. I just rotated it but it still comes back and rattles against the heat shield. Also, when i tighten it, it scratches up against the wastegate thing. is that supposed to happen

dipstick
Hi.
First I've heard of it. I've also got a dipstick - but it doesn't rub - we also had this on an 04 sedan and it had no problem. Could be that you need to bend the stick(at the top where the curl is) a little so that it will clear. Unfortunately, not all cars are the exact same. One other trick you might want to try is to move the shield forward a little or away from the stick. Let me know how it goes.

Chimney Prototype in my car!
Hey everyone, the long awaited chimney is here. Check out the photos and let me know what you think. Note: Grating will be different on production. The cuts will be done laser instead of this sloppy plasma cut.
I just installed it. It doesn't rattle and it fits nicely. The production version promises to be a lot cleaner and won't be welded like this one. Also, this one has some air gaps on the chimney walls due to fitting it in my car - the production version again will have clean lines.
So, next step is back to the shop and figure out our final CAD drawings and then we are off to production. I won't have pricing or an ETA for a while, so hang in there. I'd really just like to get feedback from everyone to see if its something of interest in the marketplace.

thanks for the feedback!
no price yet and no, it probably won't fit a larger TMIC due to the different IC wall size and alignment with the hood scoop. Its a precision piece that mates to the roof of the hood, so chances are it won't fit a larger TMIC, but we will see.
