no problem
Sorry dude, it sounded like you were like screaming about pricing - these are expensive to make - when you are working with real race car guys - we've put a lot of thought and effort into getting these things right the first time - why its taken us so long to get it out to the market.
Titanium was the orignal thought behind this, but our research and feedback was that Ti might be little too rich for this market. People are more interested in function than exotic metal from our research.
We can do special requests for a few one offs if people really want it - its no problem - but there will be a cost associated for a small quantity. ie. Team Voodoo Ti ***** are among the best out there, but not many people are interested in the higher pricing (lower qty produced) vs the normal Aluminum versions.
No knocks on garage projects - I just didn't want anyone to think we were just banging these things out of my garage. They are all laser cut to precision for a cleaner professional look. All bends are to exact angles and within tolerances for perfect fitment - bang free from engine revving.
Chimney version will be out in a few weeks. appreciate the interest and the feedback. No hard feelings.
Peace.
Jeremy

Pics of production heatshield with thermal wrap
New pics. Production versions are in. With and without thermal wrapping on underside.
Pictured here is the thermal wrapped version. (Orange stuff is high temp RTV silicone used to adhere the wrap.)

3 more slots available for those who want one with free shipping.
After that, its $9 additional shipped priority.

Hi mike
We are still working fitment issues. As soon as we have a better idea on costs and such, we will make that determination.
Thanks for the interest and support.
Hopefully, we'll have good news for you guys soon.
Jeremy
ps. Free shipping is now gone. All 15 slots were taken.
But we are offering other specials now, see our website.
If you buy 2 or more items, we'll offer special shipping rates to everyone. Ask for your quote!

Hey mike and everyone!
Prototype had to be redone as it was leaking hot air. We are using a heavy duty rubber gasket this time to keep the heat to the vent. (similar to the stuff separating the firewall and hood.
As soon as it is fitted and double checked, we will begin production. Sorry for the delay, but its gotta be done right and we are **** about quality. Also, engineering is pitting at Laguna Seca in September - so these guys are prepping the cars at the same time...
Anyway, as soon as we refit my car, I'll have pics. So far it looks good and we should have production like 2 weeks after the fitment.
Thanks for your patience!! These will be kickass when they are done!
Regards,
Jeremy

Purpose is to move the heat that gets trapped around the turbo/compressor away from it and use the stock scoop to vent it at idle.
On the left hand side there is already a vent there for that purpose. At speed, fresh air is sucked in through that vent & will cool the shield and the ambient air around the turbo. The turbo, believe me will still be hot, but the hot air rising from it(without a shield), otherwise has no where to go but toward the intercooler. We want to cool that rising air down , channel it with our chimney and prevent it from reentering the intercooler or heating up the rest of the engine bay & all other componenents.
Our prototype separates the air from the 2 more efficiently. You have to see it - hard for me to explain otherwise in words. That's the whole purpose.

STI
As far as STI aftermarket, no it probably won't fit since we are using a stocker IC and intake splitter. If the market warrants the STI, we will make it. As for you, we can look into a one-off, but we don't have a test car with that setup to support it right now. If one comes along, we can try to contact you if you are serious.
