Ok Gang,

Here is our first prototype heatshield. For all you guys who changed your downpipes and can't and won't put back that ugly OEM shield back on, here is the elegant bling bling solution, a genuine Speedmonkee Heatshield. PROTECT your Top Mount intercooler from turbo heat!



The prototype is made of stainless steel and attaches with a single bolt. This most likely will resemble the standard production version. Also coming is the TITANIUM version and our ultimate version - with a chimney to vent rising hot air at idle to the hood scoop AND also force cool air downward at speed.

UPDATE
One other thing. I've been getting a few questions about the other side that faces the intercooler... YES, it drops down at an angle and then vertically to protect heat from rising from the underside of the intercooler. The piece is laser cut to exact measurements, so that fitting it in can be done without removal of the stock intercooler. This will be a 3 minute install! Chimney version maybe a little more tricky, but more details will follow later.

Pricing is $75 for the standard Stainless version. I expect first batch to arrive in 2 weeks. Production versions will be laser cut 16 ga stainless steel.

I would like to see the stainless version with the chimney.

Have you done any temperature measurements: before and after? Cause if it's just bling..... I'd like something that helps with underhood heat.

PRICING
I am still waiting on pricing from my engineer/production. So hang in there. Most likely it will be based on volume. If I don't get a huge response, naturally, it will be higher cost per item.

Mkitchen. I am trying to get a temp probe in there this week. It would be interesting to find out ambient temps at the intercooler before and after. Will let you know if we get one in there. also, the chimney version will be about 2 weeks more before I can get you any pics. Its still in the design phase. Has to integrate well with the stock scoop.

Sorry, its designed for the stocker. I don't have an aftermarket version splitter on my car - so actually, I'd have to see a pic of yours to determine if it will fit. Send me a photo of your splitter from the underside.

Thermal undercoating is currently being priced and will be available shortly.
Leadtime is 2 weeks for the standard version (meaning I will be getting them) I will begin shipping as soon as I receive your paid in full order.
