Do you know in what area(s) in Northern Jersey? I live in a high volume traffic area and I don't see too many new WRXs, and I've only see ONE! only ONE! 2004 Sti driven by a guy in his late 50s.

You should call the PD. I am work midnights in E.O. I will stop any WRX I see at that time of night. I only have seen 1 silver STI in the past week. What type of security is Subaru putting in the cars? I thought most cars have the chip in the key. Or is it that someone has a master.
^^ Yea factory security system sucks. You have to have tricks up your sleeves that will hopefully delay them as much as possible. Cuz if they're pros, all you can hope is that you delay them enough that someone notices or something.

It's looking as if no type of car is really safe from break-ins or theft! My wife just told me that a few cars were broken into next to our apartment and also 1 mile up the road...One car was stolen last week in our area!
Don't leave anything in your car that is in the line of sight of others!

Just like everyone, I would like to see thefts of our cars stop, but I highly doubt that stopping WRX's at random because it's late at night will do much, if any good.
hey guys, just to update everyone on Wednesday Dec. 17 at Wayne Subaru a brand new unregistered STi blue w/ gold wheels got stolen RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DEALERSHIP in the hours of the late night. They now have enough guts to steal it in front of a busy road under 4 HIGH POWER and SUPER BRIGHT HID lighting from above!!! This is getting ridiculous! my uncle is a detective at the passaic country sheriff department, i need some help now to protect my sube!

that's sux bad! not sure if any of you saw the pics i posted when my STI got stolen (outta Hoboken). In the towe yard, there were two other STI's *blue*... one was completely gutted out and the other was badly damage.. and it had "right out of the dealer lot written all over it" price tag, white plastic covering on new cars. And there were at least three to four WRX's it is sad to see. One minute no one cares about subarus except for the few of us and all of the sudden they are hot items.
1/24/04 my friends 2003 black WRX wagon got stolen right when we were pulling into my friends driveway... we saw a black and a puertorican kid take off like a bat outta hell!
we tried to chase them but we had a 97 civic 4 door, so the beloved subie dissapeared in a matter of minutes!
8,000$ worth of stereo
2,000$ worth of engine mods
he's getting most of the $ back though thank god!.

And now that will all change I am now involved in the investigative part of the business.
