^ you might want to read that in some detail... you might be surprised at how said wars got started...
East timor = A Roman Catholic country. About 20% of the population died by murder, starvation or disease after they were forcibly annexed by Indonesia (mainly Muslim).
Kosovo = Peace enforced by NATO peacekeepers. There is convincing evidence of past mass murder by Yugoslavian government (mainly Serbian Orthodox Christians) against ethnic Albanians (mostly Muslim)
my take on this? relgions are a tool for control over the masses...

As for my "leftie notion" are you trying to say that christians and any other religoin are innocent? Get a ****ing clue man no ethnic or religous group will ever be innocent of atrocities, hell we are human, and that is in our very nature to oppress, murder, kill, mame, and destroy others who arent like us.. That is the human struggle to over come such idiocy and ignorance (long struggle but we are slowly making progress).
in regards to your second question, we are far from innocent, but the muslim population as a while is far from innocent as well. It is a very very complex issue and one that i dont want to realy get into to much detail with as we can talk about it for years and years and come to no sturdy conclusion. My thoughts are this, both sides are equally to blame for the atrocities each has comitted. It takes two to tango...
