They would see that the same way we saw the towers come down on 9/11. Only it won't **** off one nation but a multitude of nations that are primarily muslim and like jdepould said "we don't need that"

BTW not making any comparisons between the two but that is how they would view it.

By the way, the greater global muslim community is already up in arms.

What I'd really like to see discussed here is why is the mosque is still standing.
I already know the answer...well, at least the most plausible answer that my military-historic logic could come up with.

Our country, from the Prez down to you & me, are pussies and we don't have the spark in our bellies to win this war.

The last time America fought a pre-emptive war, that being the European Campaign of WWII, we took the gloves off & butchered the enemy.
Our leaders and most importantly, our fighting men, would level a Christian church if one lowly sniper was thought to be in the bell tower. US tankers didn't (have to) think twice before driving their Shermans through a Christian cemetery.

Look what the Allied forces did to Monte Cassino, a Christian Monastery, in order to prevent the Germans from shelling our troops.

And today we can't stomach what the world would say if we leveled one mosque in order to smoke one Islamic cleric.

I'll say it again.
We...our troops...are doomed unless America can remove the gloves.

Paul

Your simplistic world view amuses me...

Take the glvoes off? hahahaha

what world do you live in? I live in the information age, the age where one single person can effect change upon the worlds population by one simple act (or two or three). Not the pre information age where it would take thousands of people to effect any sort of noticeable shift in society or culture.

Wake the **** up man, pull your head out of your *** and relize that the old ways of fighting dont apply in this day and age. You need to be more cunning and clever then your enemy now more so then ever before. Brute force is only good for one thing now, creating more enemies and or destroying and killing thousands of innocents. Welcome to the information age... INformation is power not strength

The other half of the equation is that, generally speaking, if we **** off the global muslim community, and they decide a violent response is called for, it won't be a conventional military response, they don't have the manpower for that, we'd be looking at large-scale international guerilla warfare, which is something I don't think anyone is prepared for.

Again, you simpleton, you miss the point.
I wasn't calling for large-scale warfare against all followers of the Islamic faith.
I was comparing/contrasting what levels of warfare our country was willing to stoop to a mere two generations ago in order to end a war.

I will agree with your statement that "...one single person can effect change upon the worlds population by one simple act (or two or three)" in as much that that is all it would take to end the "mosque situation".

Also, I will agrre when you say, "Brute force is only good for one thing now, creating more enemies and or destroying and killing thousands of innocents".
Why did followers of Islam attack us?
Why is it that 14 wars presently going on around this planet involve Muslims?

And, please, in the future, refrain from using vulgarities when talking to me.

Again, have a nice day.

Paul

watch who you wave your paper mache sword at *****.

You are a simplton, you are clearly useing dated logic in a time that it simply doesnt apply. You manical ignorance is ever presence and in your previous statements it clearly shines thru. Dont be angry at me simply because i can point out your stupidity, the fact that you think brute force in this day and age plays an imporatnat role in world politics and relations with other nations.

Its not about strength in numbers it about strength in intelligence. Numbers are more psychological then effective now a days. One person sitting in a lab with the right equipment can destroy the world, and you mean to tell me that this sort of a threat can simply be elimianted by brute force? It is all about what you know and when you know it, not about what you can destroy or how many times over you can destroy it.

So go back to the 40'd with you dated logic and assinine remarks. If you want to have a meaningful debate about how the world has shifted since the dawn of the information age i am more then game to school you in that arena.

Word of advice, if you cant take been called a fool stop acting like one....

I would love to see how you think brute force would accomplish any sort of positive goal in the long run, hell even the short term would be a feat....

Does force have its place? ABSOLUTELY Is leveling a holy shrine the best means to deal with some nut job who is trying to become a martyr? **** NO only a fool would be that easily played to destroying the shirne and turning a putz *** wannabee holy man who wishes he had his fathers following into a religious martyr of christ proportions.......

I seriously doubt your intellectuall capabilities some times oaf, at least you have a thought in your head (in contrast to helladumb) but still somestimes your judgement is clouded by your passion for your twisted views.. Thank god you dont work in the pentagon or in the hill...

and ***** please dont try and pawn it off as muslim is the devils religion or some other right wing ignornat *** bull**** like that... come on you can come up with some better **** then that....

and please do give me all 14 wars that muslims started... this will be great...

First off, the nut job cut a deal and ran like a little girl. Killing him at whatever cost would have sent a clear message (Too late now). They must have tempted him with dental whitening or something.

These guys claim they want to die but they constantly hide in mosques or behind women and children. When it comes down to it, they don't want that bullet with their name on it. Well, it's too bad because we will get them sooner or later.

Second, we are dealing with Islamic Terrorism. I'm not sure what you are saying about the muslim devils... it looks like english but it's un-decipherable. Would you clarify what you mean when the buzz wears off?

Go ahead and kill him in a holy mosques. Lets think a little past the present and to the future.

-He would be dead.
-He would be made into a MAJOR martyr.
-It would increase the HATERED the Islamic community as a whole has on us.
-Increase of attack on our men.

And the list goes on and on. This would be such a STUPID thing to do its laughable that you would even think this as a rational idea.

Now I hate to inform you but not everyone that is attacking us is Islamic. Don't group all terroistic attacks as being from one source. That is a very un-educated thing to do. Concidering that we have had Timithy McBae (How ever you spell that name...its 4am..) who is WHITE destroy a federal building. (Side not i was a hour away from it.)

To conquer a people with force will only last as long as they can no longer fight you or till they all die. To win their minds over lasts forever. Thats what we SHOULD be doing.

first off we are dealing with MUCH MORE THEN ISLAMIC TERRORISM. What we are dealing with is a problem much larger then a simple minority lashing out at another society or culture. We are dealing with several issues from the immense propagation of americana culture, to the fundemental clashes that is caused by said pop culture. We are dealing with religious differences as well as cultural, not simply terrorism, terror is used by both sides in this war by both cultures and both societies. The terror part is just the side effects of the greater struggle at hand. Stop being an idiot and try seeing things a layer or two deeper then you are currently able to.

And killing off a person who has said and done the things that this man has would only serve his cause.... Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that much out.. thank god you dont work in intel...

You are a moderator!?
I assumed i-club mods held themselves to a higher level.

I've never said that "...muslim is the devils religion...".
Are you trying to pawn off some Left Wing notion that the followers of Islam are innocent victims? That Islamic followers never initiate violence?

Please answer this question:

Are Isreal & the US responsible for the suffering endured by followers of Islam?

I thank you in advance for keeping your reply professional.

You all know it doesn't matter what we do or what the Muslims do, there is no solution to this problem. The world fought a hundred year war over and that was over a thousand years ago and look how far along we are today.
