so Dumb, just curious... what do you think of the Declaration of Independence? Is it not one of our most important documents?

The line about taking up arms against a non-representative may not be applicable to this day specifically, but it is the American thing to do if our government ever gets that far out of control. If you disagree, then you disagree with one of the tenets of our democracy.

 

Is is a founding doc, so of course I regard it highly, but to use it to wipe your rear and pretend the U.S. is, or will every oppress us in a similar fashion will trigger my death ray!

No, I don't think the U.S. is perfect, and heck, I don't really like being increasingly monitored in the name of counter-terrorism or whatever (it's like a toll that never goes away once the bridge is paid for), but unless they are requiring me to get the mark of the beast, I think we have it pretty good.
