This all dwindles down to our "compassionate" way of fighting war. Our soldiers take fire from mosques but aren't allowed to fire back, our soldiers are advised not to be seen eating or drinking during the month of ramadan as not to offend the people trying to kill them. Something just doesn't make sense here.

agreed, I don't think most American have the stomach for what kind of hell real war is, our enemies know this and use it against us.

Defenitely, the enemy has no rules of engagement and it's going to be hard to win this war unless red tape is cut and our men are allowed to do thier job.

I think if we really let loose the dogs....then maybe we and every other country for that matter would think twice about using armed conflict as a means to a political end. I think if people truly see how awful war is they would be far less likely to employ it, and that goes for all sides. Right now it's just a diplomatic tool.

I was just countering Speedmunki and his thinking that we need to go back to isolationism. As much as that sounds appealing it is just not feasible in the current world.
I understand that. I was just making sure you realized that we didn't start interveaning before 9/11. Which you have obviously stated to be true

That cartoon is pretty funny. Unfortunatly, I'm sure it wasn't meant to be funny. The message tries too hard to seperate and focus on differences for the purpose of rightousness for me. Doesn't show too much tolerance on the part of the christians...and I thought tolerance was a 'christian' value.
