Biblical characters definitely are hypocritical throughout the Bible and many unholy stories are told to illustrate many different things in the Bible. It's by no means a book full of only Holy characters... there are TONS of examples of what I'm talking about. So if that's what you are talking about, then I completely agree, that's why it is written to include them. To help humble man and help us realize that even the best of us can temporarily stray from God and fall to Devil's schemes.

Maybe One that believed that by you having this experience in your life, that you would create a positive change in the world in some manner or you would impact another life positively. You even said yourself that a lot of things changed in your life because of this event, and you will never be able to fully know how this event impacted other lives that you may not even know.

AFAIK they read the new testament in addition to the old testament and the book of mormon. It might not be a classical definition, but I consider any religion who believes in the teachings of the new testament to be christian.

I would pretty much sum that up as one huge Grade A, prime example of hate speech, intolerance, and persecution.

Maybe because of all those bad things happening we become better people in the end? More compassionate, understanding, caring, loving, charitable, content, confident, encouraged, faithful, giving, humbled, honest, with integrity, patience, forgiving, thoughtful, thankful, wise, and stronger?

So now that you believe there is a God and satan, what makes you think that satan isn't causing all this harm?
Say satan gave you all your health problems, and lets say God solved them.
