(PICS) Oscar Grant Protest 1-7-2009

* Fruitvale Bart Station - January 7th, 2009

I have several pictures that I will upload later. I do not have too many pictures during the civil unrest times as I ran out of battery. However my other homie has some so I'll upload them as well.

To see full size/scale pictures, just reply with the pic you are interested in and I'll post the full pic.

Anyhow, enjoy - I'll upload more later.

*One of many crowd shots. There were several speakers.

* Fuel for the march!

* During the march, Loved the hoodie!

* Another crowd shot, earlier in the day

* The last song/prayer and T Minus 5 before the march.

* Bart finally made a wise choice to bring the gates down. Many people were yelling at the officials in the station, we had to tell them to keep it cool. Tensions were starting to boil here.

* Prior to the closure, you can see that it was a wise choice as the station could have been stormed if people got out of control.

* Another Crowd Shot.

* These cats I could smell as kids (with the sign) who were just there for the excitement and ready for the take, sure enough they were right there going ape **** one a cop car later that night.

* Sad..

* This was earlier in the day, I'd say around 3:30.

* One of several nice signs.

* One of many people wearing these signs on their backs.

* Several Anti Israel protesters out there as well

* This group was rather large and had several Anti Israel signs along with Oscar Grant signs.

* R.I.P Brotha

* Large Asian group - One member gave a speech during the protest

* Another common sign throughout the whole day.

* On the scene, live status.

that sign that says "the system is guilty," what exactly is the system, and what is it guilty of? I have always wondered that. Are we not ALL part of this "system?"

yeah, its good that people exercised their right to protest, but it shouldn't have gotten out of hand. Now people are more focused on the damage that was done, and not the tragedy that happened to Grant and his family/friends. What morons, completely counterproductive. Their actions give protesting a bad name.

Gaza protesters are using it as a reflection of Israel's persecution of Palestine.

Hey, anything to be heard sometimes.

^^ Yeah, I had a buddy who went to an anti Iraq war demonstration with a gigantic "Legalize Marijuana" sign. He was stoned as ****, it was priceless.

TONS of people used this as a way to protest Gaza/Palestine..
I personally didn't understand that as well.

Like its brother Cisco, "Wild I" definitely has some secret additives that go straight to the cranium. Another web page claims that this foul beverage is a conspiracy by the republicans to kill the homeless. Bums ask a liquor store clerk for Wild Irish rose by saying, "gimme a pint of rosie with a skirt," a skirt being a paper bag. Some don't want it cold either. It's called "wild" for a good reason, and bystanders should beware. Wild Irish Rose is sure to light a fire of drunken rage in your soul
sounds like a lovely drink...was that just on the floor chillin there? or was there a lot at the protest?
