How/Why is destroying our community going to help the overall situations/problems? I just do not understand that by any means.

Yeah, if he walks away, and he might cause I think i heard he was charged with Murder (when it should be manslaughter), and yeah, if he walks... you can bet that oakland is going to erupt. Sad, but if this officer walks with anything less than manslaughter, I'll pretty pissed off.

Why does everyone hope that he gets the book thrown at him? I hope he gets off, because I truly believe that it was a mistake, and as a police officer, we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Now, if there are ongoing continuous complaints about a particular officer, thats a different story. But still, his life doesn't need to be ruined just to prove a point.

Yes, it most likely was a mistake - but that doesn't mean he should walk.
He should have justice delievered to him - which should be Man 1 and Criminal Negligence.
20 years - 10 with good behavior.

I've always thought he did this by mistake. I dont think he was thinking "OK, I'm going to pull my gun and kill you!". Its been stated that he was trying to go for his taser but to me it all comes down to WHY did he feel like he needed to use that force?
The kid was not a threat and I dont see why he would have needed to tase him.

Just a question, do you guys think that LOEs should get a break on things like this, or do you think they should be treated like the rest of us? And, I don't think the kid was a threat, this is just a horrible situation all around.

But no, I don't want him walk at all. I don't think he deserves a murder charge, but for his mistakes, he deserves manslaughter or assualt with a deadly weapon... something. He deserves like at least 10 years imho
