what he said isn't just a product of this most recent natural disaster. gw bush (as well as the entire republican party) have a long list of injustices towards black people and minorities in general that most people have never even heard of.

 

not all people are financially capable of leaving behind their home and all their property...even in the face of a natural disaster. and i don't think they'll be thanking themselves for their situation...ever...try to show some sensitivity.

 

First off, don't preach to me about sensitivity because I lost all my stuff just the same as they did. Secondly, FEMA hired hundreds of buses from contractors to evucuate those who were either physically or financially precluded from leaving. Anyone could have gotten on those buses if they wanted to. And Republicans having nothing against blacks, racists do.

 

losing ur stuff doesn't make it ok for you to say that hurricane katrina victims deserve what they got...but whatever floats your boat

my point about the buses was: where are they gonna go after they get there? some of them would have no food, no place to stay, and definitely no money. don't get me wrong, hiring buses for refugees is a noble action. but even with free transportation, leaving _EVERYTHING_ behind was illogical for some.

Don't get me wrong I am sympathetic for the lose of all these people but them not following directions has made the situation 20x more complicated for everyone else. Shelter, food, water, etc... were all being provided at the bus destinations in Houston the Astrodome had about 20,000 beds and catering service as did the LSU stadium. Hotels in all areas were federally regualated to an "emergency rate" which was a near give away. I had friends that got rooms at the 4 Seasons in Austin for $65/night. The fact of the matter is that it was a MANDATORY EVACUATION and if you stayed you broke the law. Anyway, this wasn't the intent of this thread so I apoligize in advance for high-jack.

 

So now they got no food, bodies floating by, raw sewage problems. But, going for a ride on a bus to escape possible death was not an option. Feel free to list injustices buy the republican party toward all minorities in general. Nice time for kayane to fuel racial tension isnt it.

you have go to be ****ing kidding me. There the ones shooting at us. A gang was holding some 30 fire fighters and a few familysw hostage in a building. There Shooting at .Dr's, tryed to steel an ambulance. I think its poor ignorant black people.

You guys act like its Bush's fault. **** happens. These people had a 2 day warning. Warnings are done for a reason. I do not feel bad for these people one bit. This is god's way of population control. I just happend to be spooks that get killed. They are shooting at the army gaurd and tryed taking a gun from one of them. spooks=drugs=high=can't function
