The problem* (if there really even is a problem) is really even more multi headed than what is said here, what converts co2 back to oxygen? plants, trees namely. How big an area around you was at one time a forest? I have noticed a tremendous rate of clearing especially in my immediate area. I am by no means a tree hugger, but trees are nice to have around for reasons other than co2 conversion...
how is a 450,000 year sample even thought of as being a decent look at 4.5+billion years? I am not saying that digging further into history is going to change anything, but the possibility is there...
Nearly every report EVER done on global warming has shown a dramatic spike of c02 concentrations in the last 150-200years, not normal levels found in ice cores from the last 450,000 years but much MUCH higher than that.

This is BS because modern jet skis use direct injection which are so clean that even Lake Tahoe allows them, and many of the new skis are using 4-cycle which are up to zero emission! What's referenced below is tests on 80's technology as-in those old-school js550 jet skis, or your 1979 bultaco dirt bike.
Stupid treehuggers hate jet skis and dirt bikes no matter if they leave a choking cloud of smoke or a trail of flower petals. The majority of the freakish granola activists tried to close off access to jet skis in the name of pollution but do you see them being friendly to the zero emission models?
Activists won't be happy until everyone is on foot. Too bad the foot trails cross into the territory of the endangered seabiscuit... looks like there won't be any trails to walk on....

If we know what human CO2 emissions are...and we know the total emissions...then we know what the levels would be without humans right? So we have a damn good approximation of the difference we've made. And there IS a difference; so we are causing something other than 'normal' to happen. Isn't too hard to reason that out.
And even if we aren't causing a huge massive problem like some claim, we could be. So why not be cautious and reduce our impact as much as possible. Sort of like wearing a seat belt you know...
