What are you going to go hunting for?

I'm gonna try and get back out there in 2006. See if I still can remember zone D4 and D5 well enough after all these years. May put in for an X zone tag as well.
I need to get back into fishing as well. Going out next week for trout and then for crab in Bodega with my skipper friend.

However, the human race by nature can be just as brutal as our animal kingdom counterparts. I was caught in a bad situation in S.F. one night withoug my gun. It was on my way out of "Bimbos" (The nightclub on columbus). This was back when the North Beach projects were still up. Well, I went to get my car so the girls wouldn't have to walk in their high heels for two blocks. Long story short: Alone, alley way, projects, suspects, and no gun. My well being was saved on a bold faced lie and gullible suspects. My life is worth too much to me to say it will never happen again. A buddy of mine, awake with his new born one night, heard noise in garage, put baby down & got gun. As he walked into the living room suspect #1 was walking in through garage door. He took two of the suspects into custody at gun point and one ran away. Another buddy, robbed at gun point at a red light on Van ness ave in S.F. Another buddy of mine, was attacked by a guy high on coke or something. The guy lept from his 2nd story balcony with a pair of scissors. My buddy was lucky enough to get the guy in a choke hold. It was a justifiable homicide. That's just people I know. I could pull up a cities crime stats and point out how a gun could have prevented most of the crimes against a person.
I see my gun as an extension of my will. If someone is going to threaten my life, they will see first hand just how powerful my will to survive is. Forgive me for not having any faith in the decency of mankind. Am I just a little paranoid? Maybe, but that's what gives me my edge.
BTW: someone mentioned a baseball bat as their prefered defensive weapon. If you get caught with a loaded gun in your car it's a misdemeanor. If you get caught with a baseball bat it's a felony. I know, it's crazy, but true.
