Downed Uh-1 and an example of liberal media bias.
NAJAF, Iraq (Reuters) - Fighters loyal to Moqtada al-Sadr shot down a U.S. helicopter Thursday in the holy city of Najaf and two were killed by British troops in Basra in clashes that threatened to reignite a Shi'ite uprising.

What really gets me about this article is how slanted it seems...
Reuters, AP and a few other lesser known news groups make it seem like the Sadr's followers are going to win because they shot down a refurbished Uh-1 that's 10 years older than me?! We have hundreds of helicopters to take it's place and a 1000 troops to take the place of that less fortunate solider that was killed in the battle.
Why couldn't the article suggest a possible insignificant Shiite uprising instead of making seem like there's thousands of cells lurking in the shadows across Iraq waiting to pounce? Furthermore, why can't they mention the Shiite uprising and also address the fact our servicemen and women are highly motivated and dedicated individuals with unlimited firepower, resources and the heart to get the mission accomplished to restore order to Shi'ite Islam areas?
Did our Grandparents see this type of reporting during Korea, WWII and prior to that? No they didn't, an this is exactly why a lot of people get the wrong impression in Iraqi current events. This is also why people bought into Moore's film when he portrayed Pre-OIF Iraq as a "Utopian Society" which he immediately followed with "Shock and Awe"
EDIT TO ADDRESS ANOTHER POINT FROM THE ARTICLE:
The U.S. 1st Infantry Division, which had been in charge of security in Najaf, has recently been replaced by U.S. marines
This quote makes it seem like the 1st Infantry Division was incompetent to get the task done and the President himself called in the "Big & Bad" Marines. They make it seem like the 1st ID was folding and too weak to accomplish the task when they were merely rotated with the Marines to prevent fatigue and complacency, a commonly performed task among line units.

It is too bad that the bias in the media erodes true concerns that US / world citizens have of the war in Iraq. We need to address this on the full spectrum though... I will not nod my head in agreement that Fox News is teh righteous

If i had a client trying to get a loan and the escrow company was biased by trying to screw him/her over during the signing and closing costs can i use that quote?
"Sorry Mr. Smith... don't hate escrow, become escrow"
