The effects have not been completely revealed yet. But here's something about what Bush did in Texas with respect to the environment.

Unfortunatly, it's hard to find unbiased (non-politically charged) accounts of exactly what has and hasn't been done by Bush to the environment. But the information in these links is acurate in terms relaying the actions the Bush admin has taken...it's just a little biased in terms of how they relay the info.
Very very recently, Bush has turned a little and is starting to do some things that make sense for the environment. He'll always prefer big business to the environment, though, so any environmental legislation he brings about will be lenient on big business (who obviously is the #1 cause of pollution in the country, just ahead of transportation). The main problem that I see is that many of Bush's 'initiatives' for the environment are voluntary programs...so basically, companies will have a choice weather or not to pollute. For some, it will make monitary sense to pollute less. For others, it will still be cheaper to pollute a lot. That's crappy policy...all companies should be forced to be ultra-clean when it comes to the environment and pollution.

Here's something positive for ya. If you should feel so inclined do a little research for yourself. Read up. Volunteer. Sign a petition or two. Donate cash if you want. Here's a few good links to get you started.

These organizations are not politically biased in that their main goal is to protect our air, water, land, flora and fauna from pollution. They could care less what party is in office as long as said party is environmentally conscious.
