Matth3w stated that he hates criminals, and suggested letting felons hang out with some guys wife......ILLEGALS ARE NOT ALL CRIMINALS, FELONS, or whatever......in fact, most of them are looking for WORK AND MONEY TO SEND TO THEIR FAMILIES IN MEXICO.

They come to America because America has jobs, Mexico does not have jobs to offer to these people.

Oh, so they aren't all legal? On that same logic, who would rip off all the cars and milk our social and educational system as well as they do?
For every 25 cents of increased cost of produce, we'd probably see a $buck and change benefit from them coming off the societal tit.

There is a simple solution as I see it. Make it a felony to employ an illegal immigrant (...it prolly is already...) and ENFORCE it. It wouldn't be that hard...random spot checks of green cards would be simple. Make the punishment 1million$ per illegal for the employer, and 1 year in prison per illegal. Then there would be no jobs for illegals.


I'm sure others have thought of this idea before me. My guess is that conservatives (who lead the majority of anti-illegal-immigration acts and legislation) are too affraid of pissing off their buddies in BigAgriculture and other big busineses.

lol. i mean aside from the damn WEBSITE, which the ENTIRE thread is really supposed to be about, i answered it at least twice in detail on this thread.

 

But you are missing my point also: Work ethic. Americans are not motivated to work hard when they are gettin 8 dollars an hour (ask anyone who owns a fast food resturant). Where as Mexicans (not being racist) work MUCH harder for that same $8 because to them, that is a hell of a lot of money for a hour compared to mexico.

I agree we need to streighthen our boarders, but not with deporting all of the illegals currently here.

BTW: Dosn't anyone else see paralells between this and the Irish immigration "problem" years ago? Nearly the same ideas being thrown around. I love it how much history repeats itself. Us? Just like Greece in so many ways (though our downfall is coming in much less time )
