Tein S-Tech's for STi?

Tein S-Tech's for STi?
I was wondering who has the Tein S-Tech lowering springs on their STi's and if they are unbarably stiff? Do you scrape on everything? Comments? 1.5" is a large drop and would I be better off just dropping the car 1"?
