Let me know what you find out,..I have a rear pass clunk too I want to figure out.. Some say its the endlinks, tophat for the rear shock, or even the swaybar moving in the swaybar bushings.

Good luck

Have you checked to make sure all the bolts are tight? It could be a couple things so a visual check will be a good starting point.

Rear sti struts are known for clunking. Only thing to do is replace.

i have the same issue on my car as well. I installed my 04sti struts on my 02 wrx maybe 2 years ago and the clunk never go away. I have tried to tighten the tophat bolt once and the noise went away for a bit but now its back. There is a 500 page thread on nasioc if you want to read more. It doesnt really hinder performance so im just going to keep mine for now until i have money. hope this helps

Are you guys running 02 rear tops with 04 STI struts? They changed the design of the rears in 04.
