PLEASE HELP! STRANGE rubbing sound

Just got new wheels on the wagon and I have come across a strange rubbing/knocking sound. Before anyone pops off no the tire is not rubbing on anything. The car is lowered with stock struts. The noise only seems to come about at times in reverse and always when in first gear. For example if I drive the car in first and pick up speed, I allow the car to slow down in gear when it picks up preasure on the drive tran the noise begins.
At first I thought it was from the strut or wheel, but it seems to be coming from under the car in the rear passenger side area. Any thoughts?

Put the stock tires back on and try again. What kind of rim/tire combo did you get?
