a strange sound on my coilover please help!!

i just installed my coilovers on sunday and i notice a knocking sound when i hit a small bump on the road . i don't know what makes it but its only from the rear left coilover only. i tried raising the coils, screwing the bolts tighter and adjusting the hardness and softness but the knocking is still there. if anybody knows this problem please help! i can't find a way to get rid of the sound. oh and its BC Racing BR-Type coilovers by the way.

A friend of mine had a similar noise with the suspension on his EVO. Turns out the guy that installed his springs installed one upside down. Lol.

+2. I was at the track this past weekend and the MF'ers from a shop in SF didnt tighten the right rear top bolt and it came off. Luckily I only lost one session and $50 to fix.

Isn't the nut recessed where you can only use a socket to get to it? Did you try tightening the right nut?

If you have Camber plates In the rear then you will need to tighten down the top bolt which Is a 17mm I think with an Impact gun, I have the same exact series BC coils and I had that problem, I tightened them down with a regular ratchet and It still made the noise. So I called BC and asked them what they do and they told me to use an Impact gun on the top bolt. Solved It for me.

I'm talking about the upper tower bolts, This only applies to you If you have rear camber plates. I'm not sure what regular top hats look like with these coils.
