I am going to try to set up a little chart... so here goes. Please correct me if some of these things are not right.

I do have 52mm for the Stance, but is that for the internal or shock size?

 

My car is daily driven, and it's on the softest setting right now, rides like shocks and springs but not bouncy! but.... on the track, stiffest setting works like a miracle!!! stiffest setting on the street (because i was too lazy to adjust right away) was waaaayyy too stiff... rattled my brains out in the poor SF streets. however, once re-adjusted to the softest setting, feels great! No complains from the girlfriend or friends. As far as the valve size, it's a 52mm internal. I do not know the shock size. Like i mentioned earlier, it's a 52mm valve. the stance is rebuildable. They can even revalve it for you if you go more than 3k higher or lower than the springs that comes with it now. it will take an additional 4-6 weeks and revalving is $180. They can order whatever spring rates you like since they always have them in stock, and revalving is only needed like i said earlier if it's more than 3K difference from what they have now.

 

Cool. I've heard a lot of good things about all three. My main concern with the Megans was if they were rebuildable or not. People have said a lot of good things about the BC's. I know that Import Image is doing a promotion on them right now for $1000 or something. The other cool thing is that I don't have to pay tax. Saves $100 or something.

Anyways, I am down to the BC's or the Stance. I still have some time. Not in any rush.

how about the Helix DNA coilovers? ive heard great thing about those. im undecideded well, Helix or the Megan Street coilovers

 

Yeah... I wouldn't really know, but sure... once we get info on that, I could add them to the list.

 

I have about 250 miles on my BC's. I am very impressed this far. I've adjusted the height 3 times and adjusted the damping a bazillion to find an enjoyable ride on the street. I think I've found a happy medium(back to the pre-set height from the factory) Low,doesn't scrape and handles like a dream.

 

What have you heard about the Tanabe coilovers?

 

I am also looking to go to coilovers soon, I think I shall go do some personal research on the BC's and the stance c.o's - I am willing to drop a couple extra hundred dollars for some quality. I forget the saying, but its something along the lines of the sweetness of a low price is much shorter than the bitterness of poor quality or something like that.

Has there been any developments on your end darkonion? I want to keep this thread going, I am still in the market for coilovers but I don't want to get the wrong set and be unhappy with them :x. Driving an 06 TR.

 

Nothing yet. I am trying to sell a few items to move me closer to buying them. I think I am going to get the BC, just because of price. Pretty much same as the Megan's but are rebuildable.
