Redline Oil (recommendations for engine and drivetrain?)
Im thinking of switching all fluids in my car to Redline. I currently run Royal Purple in the engine and always have but i just hit 20,XXX and want to swap out the rear diff and transaxle fluids. Heres my questions:
I plan to use the Redline 80w90 gl5 w/friction mods in rear. Am i correct to run the 80w90 gl5 wo/friction mods in transaxle?
Should i switch from Royal to Redline in the engine?
Thankyou in advance and my car is a 07' TR with 5-spd.

I wouldnt put Redline in the transmission - I did a lot of research when I had my old wrx and there were lots of cases where 1st gear would grind after putting in synthetic tranny fluid. I would recommend non synthetic for the transmission.
The rear diff, however, is ok with Redline. I used Redline 75-90 gear oil in my old wrx and plan to use it in my STi.
As far as motor oil - as long as you use the proper viscosity (for your areas temperature and your driving habits), you cant really go wrong. Just make sure to use an OEM oil filter.

Engine oil makes no real difference, especially if you change every 3k. I've used Castrol (Euro formula),Torco, Mobil 1, Redline, Motul, Neo, RP, etc.
They're all the same.

I know that its a difference you dont feel and that they all can work differently depending on your engine or driving style as far as protection level is concerned.
