Exclamation engine revs quickly but car speed doesn't increase as fast (was:Need help)

Hi guys,

I am a noob when it comes to a forced induced engines.
Need your expertise.

I have a 05 STI with about 36000 miles.
Few days ago the car started acting up

The engine revs super fast after 3200 in every gear but the car is not moving like it should.
Is the clutch bad? or something wrong with the turbo?

Thanks

it only acts up when I floor the gas paddle, but normal when I take it easy on the gas.

It's the clutch huh?

Your clutch needs replacement.

When engine torque output exceeds the ability of the clutch friction material to transfer power to the drivetrain, the clutch will slip. It'll be more noticeable when attempting a standing start on a really steep incline or when you try to accelerate quickly. The flywheel should also be resurfaced or replaced, along with throwout bearing replacement at the same time as the clutch replacement. Any reputable shop will know this already, but I mention this to prepare you for the additional costs.
