Issues with factory alarm.
Car: 2005 STi with factory security upgrade.
Problem: When cold, the alarm doesn't chirp or sounds funny (like the battery is low), and when programmed to chirp (via the remote), sometimes it does & sometimes it doesn't.
Anyone having problems or it just my bad luck?

A number of 04/05 owners have reported problems with the piezo beeper used for the alarm "chirp", either intermittent operation or total failure. It appears to be rather common. The unit is mounted up front by the radiator. Your dealer should replace it under warranty.
