Issues, issues, issues.. trying to install stage 4.. and it just doesnt want to happn

Well, as the subject says, I'm having some serious issues installing the most simple things.

Lets start with the fuel pump, the stock filter bag was almost a deep dark brown in color, so I didn't reuse it, i used the filter bag that came with the fuel pump kit. Is this the wrong thing to do? I've heard people saying I 'need' to use the stock one and other people not knowing what to say.

The perrin inlet pipe install is just wayy too vague. Maybe its because I'm coming off of my weekend long buzz, but seriously, there is a T in the kit (that i'm supposed to install into the inlet pipe). What hoses go to that tee? I'm not talking about the big piece of hose that comes with the kit (that has the tee in it, although where does the other end of that go .. just to the other side pcv vent hose? or ?

I'm just super confused and flustered with this car. I take great care in installing things and ish almost always seems to break. For instance, when putting the fuel pump in, one of the nuts snapped right off, so now i have all the nuts tightened down except one.. is this going to cause a leak?

I seriously am trying to figure out what the hell to do with this car.. since day one it hasn't been good to me, even though I have been good to it.

Other than that, so long as that fuel pump cover doesnt leak I guess I'm alright, just the whole inlet hose install is getting me to scratch my head.. and I didn't do it for performance reasons, I chose to get a new inlet hose due to the fact that the stocker had a crack right down the side and I'm not about to go to subaru and complain, cause god knows, since the car's modified, I won't get anywhere with them.

Anywho, if someone could give me their .02. That'd be much appreciated.

Regards,
Gered

P.S. If anyone has a pic of their perrin inlet installed and could forward me some closeups of where all the hoses go, that would be rad.

Just a word of advice. Alot of the mods associated with stages are done with pictures and everything at www.scoobymods.com

I would sugguest taking a look through their forums and see'ing if something is similiar to the mods your already doing so you can get an idea what needs to be done.

Far as your "T" goes the only T i can think of offhand is the Y split off the intercooler to from the turbo i think? or was it the intake? I think its from the turbo and is underneath the Intercooler.

Fuel Pump : the reason for the bag being so dark is because its sitting in fuel.... Also you should use the stock one, some people have reported starvation when using the one supplied with the walbro kit.

Turbo Inlet : your inlet pipe if bought new should have came with some pretty detailed instructions. The "T" is supposed to go inbetween the crank case breathers (two rubber pipes that connect to the pipes on the IC) The instructions say to put the T on the one on the left but it doesn't matter really.

Just take your time with everything and never rush it or force things. Also if you post in your local section maybe someone can help you out if you buy them lunch. Heres a pic of my engine bay showing where i put the "T" for the turbo inlet
