Hi all,

My first post here, I just bought a 2006 imprezza 2.5i. Have not picked it up yet.

My question is around the extended warranty. The factory is 3 years, has anyone bought the extended warranty? Has anyone had any major problems within the first 5 years of this model on average?

I am just trying to find out if it is worth the cost. The dealer is charging 1140 for two more years

If you're going to keep your car stock, then the extended warranty is a good idea. If you plan on modding your car, then it's a waste of money - Subaru won't honor it with mods.

Of course it depends on the mods you do, but basically anything major will void the warranty.
