Can I extend the warranty of a car purchased by a private individual? The car is still under factory warranty. I have been looking at www.subaruwarranty.com but have not found and answer yet.

If I can would it have to be done before the warranty period is up? How do the service periods work. If it says 5/year 100,000 mile does it mean 5 year from when I buy the warranty and an Additional 100,000 miles to what is currently on the car? I would assume so since they say the warranty price is dependant on how many miles are currently on the car.

Well I just answered one question.... I entered a milage greater than 36k and it told me the warranty is not offered for higher than 36,000. So I would have 12,000 to extend the warranty (If I can do it not being the original owner).
