Two part question
Recently I went to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change. Of course they tried to get me to replace the air filter. It was dirty at 13k miles and I told 'em I'd do it later. Well, 430 miles later I buy an air filter to replace the old one and it looked like the tool who put my filter in, put it in the filter box upside down.
Question one: Is it physically possible to put an air filter in a stock system upside down?
Question two: If it was upside down for 430 miles, should I be concerned about any damage to the engine or other engine parts?

I know on my EJ22 it's basically impossible without alot of um... force. I wouldn't worry too much about damage though, even if a few dirt particles did get through it's nothing that's going to cause a terminal failure.

maybe he tried screw you, an infamous way to ruin your turbocharger is,having the filter in backwards or not cleaning it which is even worse. the suction force of the turbo will literally suck the dirty filter into the cold wheel, (compressor wheel)
