Bugs in my top mount

I just got back on a road trip from dallas and upon inspecting my intercooler I noticed that a moth, a butterfly, and a plethora of bees had been sucked in smashed and stir fried on my intercooler. I was wondering if this hurts my effeciency? Will a bug affect the cooling of the air charge? Does the gooeyness play a factor? If I say hit a large flying roach instead of a wasp, will the creamy salty goodness of the roach cause more pressure drop? In any case. I'm wondering if there are any percautions I should take when cleaning my IC. Don't wanna hurt it. And does anyone make a screen to go in your hoodscoop? And can you really stir fry things on your IC? Cause if you can...I can make a mean eggs over topmount...they're runny...but not too runny...

The holes in the screen lets plenty of air in the scoop. But will block medium sized rocks, mid sized and larger bugs.
Just remember to keep the screen clear.
