i work at a subaru dealership and you shold always get your services done. excpecially the 60,000 cuz they change all fluids, filters, belts and they do spark plugs and some other things that i cant thing of right now. i know they are pricy but get it done for sure. it will help you in the long run if you drive your car hard.

I know like almost every other subie owner on here, I drive mine like a ****!! Which is why I really want to get it done. Plus, my local dealership is really good about their pricing and service, so I trust them not to screw me.

I've heard some dealerships charge up to $700.00 for their 60K service. I'm one of the lucky ones, where I'm only paying $469.00.

Ah, I've done all of that except the timing belt. Hopefully that'll bring down the cost of the 60k service lol.

BTW, timing belt isn't due until 104,000 miles, so you don't need to worry about that yet.

So i called my local subie dealership in Angels Camp, CA for a quote on a 60k service.

He said $800. To bad I don't have that kind of money, lol.

Anyone know of and independent shop that can do this???? Bay area or sac?

I figure i can get the price down if i do my own fluids, filters and plugs.
Just last month I got my 60k service done at LIC Motorsports in Novato, and HIGHLY recommend them for this kind of service. I was quoted at $750 for the service at my local dealership in Ukiah. Hopped in my car, and drove an hour and half to get it done at LIC for a LOT less...

But yes, get it done. Or else.
